From Script Kiddie to growing with FOSS

Note: This talk is not something similar to all those "Journey talks" or "gyaan dene wale" talks given out there in conferences. I plan to present this talk as a talk with case studies, examples and anecdotes of how I learnt little and help stuff with the help of FOSS without talking a lot of only good things about myself.

I want to explain how I range from a Skid (Script Kiddie) who used to have fun SMS and Call Bombing class teachers in online meetings during COVID-19 Lockdown days to someone who now understands FOSS, The Philosophy behind FOSS, Community.

I would like to mention about how Internet plays a big role in shaping someone's knowledge base whether its through talking with someone on the internet or just bruteforcing your search engine with questions.

Asking Questions - I remember, if I had not asked those dumb questions to my Internet friends back then I would have never ended up using "Linux", making constant tries at learning "programming", and many other things. I can recall in 2020, my first question in a public telegram group about tech was "What is Ethernet?" and I was trolled a lot after that.

With FOSS United I have tried to lead and make SolapurFOSS a good conference but I feel I eventually failed. But, now I am forming a good team which will hopefully try bringing some change.

I will keep sharing technical resources and learning's from the past 3 years about whatever small and good things I've learnt making sure the talk doesn't sound like a lot of bluff.
