Inside the Kubernetes Release Team: Roles, Responsibilities, and Joining the Journey

Kubernetes releases currently happen approximately three times per year. But what goes into each release? Who are the folks coordinating between the various SIGs and WGs to ensure that releases are cut on time and to a high standard?

In this session, we will dive deeply into the Kubernetes Release Team. We will learn about the team's structure, roles, and processes and how the team has improved over time. We will also discuss how you can get involved in the Release Team.

In this session, you will learn about the following:

  1. The Kubernetes Release Team: what it is and what it does.
  2. Insights into the release process and decision-making mechanisms.
  3. Various sub-teams and the role each of them plays.
  4. Improvement with every iteration, i.e., how the release team improves with every new release.
  5. How you can get involved in the Release Team.
