Utilising the Power of Cognicity OSS: Rapid and Resilient Disaster Response

  1. CogniCity OSS is a free and open source software for community-led disaster response and recovery in highly dense urban environments.
  2. The system crowdsources disaster information through social media channels using a novel humanitarian chatbot model, and then compiles, organises, and presents these solicited reports in real-time on a web-based, mobile-focused map.
  3. CogniCity OSS was expanded to the national scale in Indonesia and Philippines , for hazards including floods , volcanoes, earthquakes, typhoons, fires, and severe weather. 
  4. Other test instances are currently being developed in Panama City and India.
