Many large companies and startups utilize FOSS products but very rarely give back. Many don't contribute or worse if they find an issue they will not notify the maintainers.

The culture should be to not only utilize FOSS products but also contribute back either to the repo or at a minimum create some blog content on how and why the FOSS project is beneficial. And how others can benefit from it.
