How Open Source accelerated Software Engineering

Target Audience: Beginner - Intermediate

Style of Session - 30 Min Regular Talk

Description :

Open-source software has had a significant impact on software engineering by accelerating the pace of development, improving the quality of software, and fostering collaboration and innovation among developers. The software industry has been skyrocketing with the community-driven work of Open Source lovers, Linus Torvalds has set the stepping stone and we have never looked back since.

I want to highlight the points below to encourage more people towards open source. Open source has given us

  1. Reusable Code
  2. Faster Feedback and Testing
  3. Collaboration
  4. Rapid prototyping
  5. Making the world a smaller place

Open source has helped developers learn from each other's expertise and nourish healthy learning development. I would love to talk about the same and how one can go forward to create a community and help out grow together. Open source has opened doors for me that I didn't even know existed, and I would like to spread this message.
